GuilD Charter and raid policiesIf you are considering applying to Schadenfreude, please look over the following policies and make sure that they reflect what you want out of the game as a player. Choosing a guild is a very personal choice and while we may be pushing the content you want to see, our policies and structure may not be to your liking. Schadenfreude \SHAHD-n-froy-duh\, noun: A malicious satisfaction in the misfortunes of others.About us: Schadenfreude is a raiding guild on the Argent Dawn (US) server. We are relatively small for a raiding guild and as such expect a high level of dedication from our members. We are looking for members that have a good deal of available play time to devote to raiding. Objectives: To gather a group of mature individuals, with similar play times, to experience and conquer the available end-game content in The World of Warcraft.
Member policies: You may only have alts in the guild if you are Veteran or a grandfathered Member rank, meaning you are a raider with over 75% or higher attendance. You must have the prevalent raid MODs installed, up to date, and working properly so as not to interfere with your play.. You must have Ventrilo installed for voice over IP communication and suitable hardware. (I.e. we must be able to hear you and not what’s on the television) A headset is preferred. Your gaming machine and internet connection must be stable. Do not enter a raid when either is not functioning such that you are a contributing member of the raid. We raid four days a week on an EST schedule. Our current raid schedule is as follows: Tuesday- 7:00pm -10:00pm Wednesday-7:00pm -10:00pm Thursday-7:00pm -10:00pm Monday-7:00pm- 10:00pm Form-up is 30 minutes prior to raid start. Dates and times may be adjusted to suit the needs of the guild. Raids may run late if it is deemed beneficial to progression. We may cancel raids when Blizzard releases content patches if it causes server stability issues. It is every raider’s personal responsibility to resolve any MOD-related issues they may have before joining a raid. When invited to a raid you must be available for the entire duration of the raid without excessive link death or AFK’s. We take scheduled breaks when raiding and expect players to keep any other AFK’s to a minimum. You must have a mature attitude and be willing to work as a team. Personality fit is extremely important to us. If you can’t fit in, you can’t stay. As a member, you represent this guild to the rest of the World of Warcraft community. You are to carry yourself in a mature and respectful manner when interacting with other players in the game and on the forums. Starting flame wars, being disrespectful and abusive on the forums or public chat channels is grounds for guild removal. We do not condone cheating or hacking in any way, shape or form. This includes any transaction in the “grey” market; buying and selling of virtual property. Proof of such action to the Officers satisfaction will result in immediate guild removal. Guild rankings: Alt- This is not your raiding character. Friend-You are a friend or family member of a raiding member. Initiate-You have been invited to the guild as an applicant for a raid spot. Member-You are keyed for the current content we are pushing but only maintain around a 50% attendance rate. Veteran- You are a raiding member that attends most scheduled content. (75% or better thereabouts) Priority raid slots fall to Veterans and then to lesser ranked guild members as spots are available. In order to maintain Veteran status, you must be keyed for the current content we are pushing and maintain overall attendance above 75%. If you take a leave (more than 1 month) and you notify an officer, you will be down ranked 1 level and will not be promoted for a time equal to that leave. You may not win a contested roll or bid against a player ranked higher than you, regardless of DKP. We reserve the right to down rank your status for any of, but not limited to, the following reasons: You do not comply with raiding policies. You no-show for raids you have signed up for. You take an extended leave without notification. You do not show up with the required consumables. You are consistently out-performed by other raiders in your given role. Rankings will be re-evaluated every 30 days to adjust for changes in play. We do not expect members to attend every raid and give up house and home to play. Real life, jobs, families etc. should always take priority over this hobby.
Communication with the Officers is the key here. We expect you to keep us informed if you will be missing raids or you will have an extended leave. Applicants: When accepted, you will be placed in probationary status for 30 days. Our members will discuss your performance, attendance, and attitude on our private forums and come to a decision as to whether we feel you are a good fit for the raid as a whole.
The Officers will only vote to break ties as we feel that our players should pick the people they want to play with. Applicants that have passed their trial period will be raised to a rank commiserate with their play. . Schadenfreude raiding policies : Look over the rules as outlined below. When you have read them, and agree with them, send Whither a PM on the forums saying “I agree”. You will not be eligible to raid until Whither has received this PM, or the reason why you disagree. Attendance and Signups: Raid schedules go up at 10 pm EST Sunday nights for the coming week. You are expected to understand the general mechanics of each fight and understand the role your class plays in it. Joining the raid constitutes an agreement that you are available to raid. If you are not, then please do not join the raid.
If you are unhappy here and the Officers are unable to address your concerns to your satisfaction, you need to find a new home. Nothing destroys guilds faster than unhappy players therefore we will not allow negative, unhappy, players to remain in the guild. Absent that, the following, in no particular order, are often determiners when all necessary raid roles are filled. 3. DKP-Can you win the item you want given the other players in the raid?
4. Guild Rank No call, No show – If you can’t make a raid that you signed up for, at the time you specified, and fail to contact an officer to inform us, you will be subject to the Three Strikes; Zero Tolerance policy. Notifications of changes in your sign up time or status the day of the raid must be approved by the Raid Leader or the following penalties will apply. Strike 1 – Warning / Defaulted to Standby for the rest of the raiding week. Strike 2 – 25 % of your lifetime total DKP Penalty is applied to your characters across all databases. Strike 3 – /Gkick. These strikes will reset after 3 months of proper attendance. 20 Super Mana / health 10x each of significant buff pots used in your role.( E.g. Mongoose, Adepts elixir, Major Dreamless, Heal Power etc. ) 3x Flask appropriate to your role. The “Need” system is completely Officer assigned. Resist gear will not cost DKP and will be officer assigned as best suits the needs of the raid. If you are on standby, you must be on voice and ready to come in at a moments notice to receive DKP for that run. If we call for you and you do not answer, you will receive no DKP for that run. Schadenfreude Officers: Jorn Mortisha RuckusWhither If you have any questions or concerns or complaints, you need to PM one or all of these officers. We will not allow negativity to fester in the guild. If you do not avail yourself of this avenue for conflict resolution and begin to create a negative environment, you will be removed. . *Amended April 20th, 2009 |
